Gaza Plays Peace is supported by a dedicated staff with years of education and experience teaching and coaching children.

Coach Mohammed

Coach Mohammed has worked with GPP since 2019, and has a degree in physical and occupational therapy from Palestine College. Previously serving as a junior coach, Mohammed is now the head coach of Gaza Plays Peace. In addition to serving as a head coach, Mohammed also works as a leader in GPP Academy and serves as the team’s photographer and videographer. Recently, he redesigned GPP’s logo, which is now on our website and Facebook page.


Our Founder and Executive Director, Loai Ahmed

Loai is our founder and executive director. He founded Gaza Plays Peace in 2015 in the memory of the Bakr children who were killed while playing soccer on Gaza Beach. He played for the Palestine national team, and has been playing and coaching soccer ever since. He has a Bachelor’s degree in English language and translation from Gaza University as well as a degree in teaching English as a second language from Al Quds Open University. He has also earned a certificate in Project Management and Development from AMPG Group and has worked as a project coordinator for international organizations and NGOs including UNRWA, OCHA, Doctors without Borders, and Save the Children.
