Fun and Fair Play

Fun and Fair Play are two important principles you have to have and bring to the academy. Showing fair play to your teammates and opponent is an essential attitude. We all play sports to have fun, and football should also be played in this spirit. Whether we win or lose, the game is there to play to enjoy.

Education

Physical: We teach kids to take responsibility for their bodies and their health. That means knowing what they should eat, drink and how they should train. Players will also learn how energizing and preparing their bodies off the pitch will give them the best chance on it.

Academic: By improving their abilities at school, learning to speak in English and learning soccer stories and techniques, a player will deepen their motivation for the game. Players will grow into playing with more confidence, become more effective in games and in one on one situations on the pitch, using the skills they have learned such as tricks, turns and flicks. Players will learn the fundamental techniques such as attacking-defending, passing-receiving, dribbling, finishing, flexibility and coordination.

Mental: Our activities aim to create a winning mentality for the kids.  This requires developing strong character, positive attitude and most importantly, a willingness to learn and to  teach. The whole environment at GPP is positive. We teach our young players how to build confidence and learn from their mistakes, how to encourage one another on the pitch and how to deal with the many challenges that occur in the game.

Social: GPP is a great opportunity for children to develop their social skills. Players will be encouraged to act in a proper manner at all times as a GPP player, and reach the highest standards set by the coaching staff.

Gaza Plays Peace Famly:

GPP creates positive relationships among all players, parents and opposing teams. Also, we coordinate meetings with kids from the West bank and  East Jerusalem, knowing that the Palestinian children have no chance to meet or play together because of the separation wall and the siege.

The beauty of Football is that in essence, it is a simple game. When players, coaches and parents work together, amazing results can be achieved. We also seek to build a bridge of communication between Gazan kids, kids from the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and even kids from any other part of the world.

Everyone should be aware of the GPP traditions, standards and values that the academy represents. GPP wants to stand for the best standards in sport on the field and the best values off the field when it comes to being fair, and having fun.
